April Fun 2021

April was filled with outdoor fun! The kids took their annual pictures by our little blooming tree. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed lots of fun activities, including some spring skiing, lots of dance performances choreographed by Clarita, Clara's jogathon practice, and even a little swimming! Dada and Tio even managed to ride their bikes in Yosemite before they opened the road to traffic!

We went camping/off roading with the Engstroms on the grapevine. It was a lot colder than I thought it would be, but luckily Corey had an extra jacket! We tested out the 4Runners, ate yummy food, went on coyote hunts, and enjoyed ourselves immensely! However, on the way home, the tent trailer the Engstroms had borrowed blew not one, but two tires! Dada and Corey changed one, but they ended up having to leave it on the side of the road because there was not another spare. It was definitely a memorable trip!

We got to celebrate Eleanora's third birthday with a unicorn theme. It was a beautiful day and the cousins had so much fun being all together again after such a long time! Eleanora was adorable and excited about everything!

We also enjoyed the car show, line dancing downtown, and of course playing with cousins and friends! It was a good month!

Easter 2021

Easter 2021 was a lot better than Easter 2020! It still wasn't "normal," but we managed to have a lot of fun! To kick it off, the kids decorated eggs at Saturday dinner one night and had so much fun! 

We had an early Easter celebration with Abuelos and los Ramirez. The kids had a ton of fun looking for Easter eggs, we ate delicious food, and we even went on tractor rides!

Easter morning, the kids were up early to open their Easter baskets, and even though the Easter Bunny didn't go as crazy this year, they were still super excited! Emmett insisted on wearing his bunny had he made at school and it was adorable! They got their annual Easter donuts while I got some miles in!

We went to church, and although there was no Easter egg hunt this year, the church looked beautiful with all of the Easter flowers! We had a special performance by Tyler and it was a lovely service! We headed to Tios' afterwards and had a great lunch. Not everyone could make it, but the kids had a great time hunting eggs and opening Easter baskets! Apparently Easter is the new Christmas! We managed to take a ton of family pictures, and I think we actually got all the combinations this year! We definitely missed seeing a lot of people, but it was nice to not have to rush, and to just enjoy ourselves!

The day ended with a dance show by Clara and Bailey (and as always, shenanigans by Emmett and Elise)!
