Summer Fun Part Two

We managed to squeeze even more fun into our summer! We hit up the farmer's market most weekends for yummy treats and also ate our share of ice cream and cupcakes!

It's nice when they share

Everyone loves snow cones!

We spent some time with the Miltons before Emily left for college. Emily even managed to give Clara swim lessons which were a big hit!

Aba and Bailey joined us for a Grizzlies Baseball game. And what game is complete without Dippin' Dots and balloon animals! And of course a slumber party afterward!

Clara and Lyla took a gymnastics class and Clara got to do a two day dance party. I've never seen her so excited about anything before! She even picked out a leotard for Lyla's birthday present so they could be ready!

Sparklers before watching the fight at the McClarty's.

Of course more fun with the Engstroms!

A quick visit with Kiera made Clara's summer!

More Mountain Fun

We headed up to the cabin at the end of August for one more fun weekend before summer ended. It was another scorcher and well over 100 degrees in the valley so it was once again a nice respite from the heat. We arrived late Saturday night and put the kids straight to bed. On Sunday I went for a miserable run and then we headed to Hume Lake with los Abuelos. We ate lunch and then played in the lake. Emmett loves everything about water and Clarita had a ton of fun playing with the floating logs. They were both sad to leave.

Practicing for the circus

We got back and played on the horsey swing and took turns pulling the wagon and played outside. The kids were filthy at the end and ready for a bath before dinner. We had dinner with los Abuelos and Phil stopped by to say hi before they headed home.

"Look at my brassiere!"
Monday we headed to the Giant Forest, and I don't think I had been there since I was little. The kids had a blast running around through the trees. Clara was obsessed with taking pictures of us which meant Emmett wanted to as well. Emmett walked for probably  mile and I thought I might finally be done carrying kids, but then he asked to go in the backpack. We saw lots of amazing trees, and even a few deer! We headed back and took naps before eating dinner and heading back down to the heat. It was another great weekend!

Clara's picture taking skills!

Deer!

Emmett had to take a picture too!
