Emmett did better in the not trying to kill himself category this month! He also started talking and signing more which is less frustrating for both of us. He is obsessed with trees, especially Christmas trees and quickly learned the sign for them. He followed this with saying, "abo (arbol)" every time he saw one. Instead of just grunting he now either points and says, "dat" or grabs our hands, takes to what he wants, points, and signs please. If he wants his light on he takes me over, points to it, and signs please. I like this much better than grunts and screams!
Emee continues to be my little snuggle buggle. He loves to give kisses and cuddles. My favorite is when he gives Clara kisses before bedtime, it's the sweetest thing! Emmett hugs the cats too, he really is a lovey guy, much cuddlier than Clara was at his age. Maybe it's a boy thing! I wasn't sure how much he knew since he doesn't talk that much, but this month he has started pointing to things in books when I ask him what they are and turns out he knows a lot! He knows all the common animals and the noises most make, he knows most body parts, and he even will point to the basic colors when asked! I guess not talking doesn't mean a baby isn't smart...

The Little Guy s getting pretty good at playing by himself. He can entertain himself for quite some time which is nice. He loves his toys, Clara's toys, the cat toys, you name it. He continues to love playing outside and runs to get his shoes if he even hears the word outside. He loves riding his bike and Clara's scooter. He stands on the scooter and holds on while we pull him around and he squeals with delight! He finally started to love reading (I was a little worried he never would) and now reads to himself all the time. He chooses his favorite books (he actually looks through them and picks the ones he wants), brings them to us and plops down onto our laps to read. He would probably do it all day if we had time.

Emmett has started getting possessive of things. He gets mad if Clara or Bailey sit on my lap and he often tries to push them off. He says, "my mama" and "myyyy (mine)" when someone tries to play with something he wants. We're working on learning to share and the fact that he can't always have what he wants. That means we have lots of tantrums. Luckily his are short lived and he's back to his happy self again.

All in all, Emmett is such a fun little guy. He brings so much happiness to our family and even Clara can't help but smile and laugh when he does something cute. We love the Little Guy so much!

Waiting to eat, having his face/nose wiped, having things taken away from him, being set down when he is hungry or tired, and being told no.
Eating
He's still picky and this month has revolved around bread, fruit and cheese sticks. His favorite foods are pizza, pasta, cheese sticks, and tangerines/oranges (although he loves all fruits). He won't really eat meat unless it's on a pizza and veggies are hit or miss.

How Emmett Sleeps
Emmett goes to bed around 8:00 and sleeps until around 7:00. He takes a nap between 1:00 and 2:00 for two to three hours. He sleeps with his sleep sack, water, and a million animals. His favorite is Conejo.
