Let the Christmas Lights Begin!

We love Christmas! As a result we try to do as many Christmasy things as possible. This year we began the season with the Reedley Electrical Farm Equipment Parade. The parade is comprised of different trucks, tractors, and other farm equipment decorated with lights. It is pretty unique and awesome! Due to Dada's half ironman we were forced to miss the Kingsburg parade so I requested to leave super late in order to watch the Reedley Parade. I must have looked very sad because Kevin changed his mind and decided we should stay for it. I'd say it was a good decision as Clarita absolutely loved it! She insisted on walking to the giant Christmas Tree in the middle of the street before the parade began. We attempted to have her sit with Santa but she vetoed sitting on a strange man's lap (smart girl).

Biggest Christmas Tree she's ever seen

We met Kate there and then found the McClartys. We were soon joined by los Tios and the Ketelsens and it was little kid central! Bailey, of course, slept through the entire parade, but the other kids loved it. Lyla waved away, Kieran intently watched, and Clarita and Reedcito exclaimed at the different vehicles. Clara sat on my shoulders for much of the parade and yelled hi and bye to the floats while waving and squealing! She also talked about the ninos (aka her favorite thing) that she saw. I think she liked it! We're hoping Dada and Drew will plan an HMC float for next year so we can all ride on it!
