Happy Zooentine's Day!

We took our second annual Valentine's Day trip to the zoo this year and had a blast. Unfortunately, Aba got sick and couldn't make it, but los Tios, Bayleaf, and Grandma Donna joined us for some fun. As is our tradition, we adopted animals for the kids. Clarita got a giraffe and Emmett got a rhino. Clara was obsessed with her giraffe and promptly named it Mama Aca (she has a little giraffe named Aca). She carried it around and even had it ride on her head. Emmett enjoyed eating his rhino, especially the tag. I got the girls matching outfits because I'm obsessed with how cute they are when they match and they worse them; Emmett had a coordinating outfit. We enjoyed the animals, and it was Dada's, Tio's, and Grandma Donna's first time seeing the African Adventure which is pretty amazing. I had a great view of the lions while nursing Baby Emmett! The girls fed the giraffes which Clarita loved and made Bayleaf cry. I think the giraffe scared her, but it was pretty funny. We went to lunch at Irene's after the zoo and then went home and relaxed!

Super Bowl 50!

We headed to the Toms' for their annual super bowl party, but they just moved so it also served as a kind of house warming party. Their new place was great and their party was awesome as usual. I don't know if I actually watched any of the game between stuffing my face, chasing Clara, and taking care of Emmett, but I had fun nonetheless. Clarita and Connor  had so much fun chasing each other around, pushing each other on a little car, sliding, and just being silly. It was so cute to watch them interact and realize that they did not need any assistance communicating or playing together! The rest of the kids also had fun playing with the toys and each other. Little Jack kept the kids in line by bopping them on the head, Rory, Henry, and Bayleaf chased after the big kids, and Emmett and Maisie were content to be held (Emmett even got a little nap in). Jack put on a halftime show for us which involved dancing in a tray on the ottoman which was amazing! It was a great night and Clara cried when we had to leave!

January Celebrations

January is a busy month for birthdays! Abuela Sheri's is the 14th, Aba's is the 20th, mine is the 27th, and Tia Alyssa's is the 28th! We even squeezed in a party for Cambria and had a fun month of celebrating!

For Abuela Sheri's birthday we went out to dinner with the whole family. The kids(especially Clara and Teegee) had tons of fun playing. Clarita and Teegee sat next to each other and did more playing than eating!

Tia Laurie made dinner for Aba and the whole family came over. Clara and I made cupcakes and she did a great job of frosting them! She insisted that Aba have candles for her cupcake and decided on two of them (boy is Aba young)!

Tia Laurie made me my favorite cake for family dinner the week of my birthday and Clara chose five candles for it! We had a low key night at home on my actual birthday with cheesecake and Clara sang to me. That weekend we went to Red Robin with los Tios for our obligatory dinner (Clara now sings "Red Robin...yummmm!"). That Sunday we went to lunch after church with my whole family for one last celebration (I got a whole week!).

Cambria's birthday party finished off the month and we enjoyed a pow wow. Cam and Bri did a great job and it was super cute. Cami was cute blowing out her candles (she blew so softly that it took her numerous attempts) and daintily eating her cake. There were a ton of kids there and Clarita and Emmett both had fun playing.
