Christmas Cheer

Christmas is my favorite time of year and I love watching how excited the kids get about it as well. Emmett was in awe of the lights and Clara actually understood the meaning of Christmas this year. She kept telling us that Christmas wasn't about presents and decorations, but about Jesus and God and celebrating Jesus' birth. That made me so happy! As always we did a ton of activities, from looking at Christmas lights to attending parades, leading up to Christmas and we enjoyed all of them!

The kids really enjoyed decorating this year! Clarita actually remembered some of the decorations and where we got them. That made it more fun! Both kids helped pick out the Christmas tree and were so excited about it!

We went to the tree lighting ceremony downtown and got to see Santa! Clara loved Santa! Emmett was not sure about him, but agreed to sit in a chair near him. Bailey and Elise both did great!

Seeing Santa was totally worth it!

We went to the Santa Lucia parade in Kingsburg and the kids had a ton of fun watching the floats and collecting candy. Afterward we got dessert and there was "snow" that Clara and Emmett had a ton of fun playing in. I'm not sure if Emmett even knew what it was, but he was mesmerized. We also went to the train museum where Emmett was obsessed with the trains and Clara got to meet Mrs. Claus!

Cookie as big as her face!

Snow!

We helped decorate at church and the kids had a blast!

We went to the Electrical Farm Equipment Parade in Reedley. It's always on a Thursday at 7:00 PM which is not very opportune for kids, but they have so much fun! I think their favorite thing may have been the drone that one of the spectators was flying before the parade! Teagan was so cute and sat with her arm around Emmett!

We went with Aba and Grandma Donna on our annual trip to Zoo Lights. We all had a blast looking at the lights, playing in the "snow," and even managed to see a few animals! The whole time Emmett kept saying that he wanted to see "aminals" and was disappointed that he did not see more. He wasn't excited about seeing Santa but was bribable with a candy cane. The girls couldn't wait to see Santa and once again, Elise was content with him.

"I want to take a picture with Tio!"

Last up was a trip to Christmas Tree Lane. We missed this last year and I was devastated. We walked it as usual and Emmett walked over two miles! The girls rode in the stroller and we carried Emmett the last two miles. Even Elise was mesmerized by the lights!
