This year we once again celebrated Fourth of July over two days. On the third everyone came to our house and we had pizza, fruit, and lots of yummy desserts. We enjoyed lots of swimming and hanging out with our friends. Clara took her job of passing out tattoos and slap bracelets very seriously and Mason surprised everyone with sparklers. We watched the high school fireworks from the street and I don't think any kids cried this year! Emmett told Aba what color every firework was and I think all the kids (and adults) enjoyed them!

On July Fourth we made a trip to Tio Robert and Tia Erika's and the kids got to meet Eleanora! Clara was in a bad mood at first and refused to hold her, but Emmett was excited to hold her! They explored the new house and I got to give Eleanora a bottle! Eleanora even made her first trip to a restaurant!
After naps we headed to los Tios for more food, friends, and fun! We swam a lot, tried to teach the kids how to slip n slide, the girls showed everyone that standing up while peeing isn't only for boys, and had a great time! Tio and Drew set off a bunch of fireworks, and for the first time, everyone stayed the entire time to watch them! We could also see a lot of areal fireworks from neighboring towns. It was a great night celebrating something we take for granted; our freedom and all of the privileges we are so lucky to have in the United States.
Simply the most hilarious thing I've seen in a long time! |
