July Fun 2019

We began July with our annual Third of July party. Aba and Tia took the kids to the park in the morning and then everyone came over for swimming, pizza, and fireworks. This may have been the first year there was no crying about the noisy fireworks!

Twins!
On the Fourth of July the kids and I hit up Bella Bakery for some deliciousness in the morning. They played with Olive and Winnie while I cleaned up, and they got to feel their first big earthquake! It literally made waves in our pool. Unfortunately, Clara started throwing up in the afternoon so we changed out plans and Dada took Emmett to the concert in the park while I stayed home with her. We sat outside with a bowl and listened to the concert and did a couple of sparklers.

We went to a lot of farmer's markets and concerts in the park.

Clara has loved the Beach Parties put on by The Dance Company the past few summers. This was her last one, and Bailey's first. A bunch of our friends did it as well and the girls had so much fun with Miss Dana!

I signed the kids up for swim lessons at the local pool. They had fun and actually learned something. The lessons were in the middle of the morning so it took a lot of help from grandmas and Tia to get them there. On the last lesson, Clara jumped off the high dive. I was so sad to miss it!

Tio proved that he can carry two girls at one time!

Dada's work organized a family volunteer night at a local food bank. Emmett, Bailey, and Elise were too young to volunteer, but Clara had a blast. She took her job seriously and even dressed up for the occasion. It was fun to see all the kids helping!

We had a play date with Macie and Eden. We ate doughnuts and played in the park. The kids all had a blast!

Clara spent a weekend at the cabin with los Abuelos. Emmett was sad at first that he did not get invited, but he had so much fun I don't think he was sad by the end of the weekend! We celebrated Brinley's fourth birthday at Chuck E Cheese. He had a blast getting as many tickets as possible!

We hung out at the park with the Kauks and Bailey on Brinley's actual birthday. Brin and Emmett are so cute together and spent half the time hugging!

We also checked out the Home Show. Emmett loved the tractors of course! We stopped by Baskin Robbins on our way home to get his ice cream cake for his birthday and of course, some ice cream!

Emmett had never been to a movie theater. We took Clara for the first time when she turned four and decided to do the same for him. We saw the new Lion King and he loved it! He giggled throughout the movie and was obsessed with the candy he picked out!

Of course Tia made a jello cake for Emmett at Family Dinner the week of his birthday. He loved it!
