Tio Josue!

We were lucky to get a visit from Tio Josue and his fiance Rachel last weekend! They arrived Saturday morning and we headed out for some Swedish pancakes. We spent the day relaxing before heading out to Tulare for the Global Winter Wonderland. First we had a pit stop at Bravo Farms and got some yummy snacks and saw the animals.

Global Winter Wonderland was awesome! It was at the Tulare Fairgrounds and consisted of tons of big cloth portrayals of different world landmarks. They were all lit up and it was pretty impressive. We also watched a couple of shows with dancers and acrobats. We met los Tios there and Clarita and Bayleaf really liked the lights! Clara's favorites were the dragons, dinosaurs, and acrobats. She later said that she wanted to stand on her head like the lady at the lights! I found out that you really can nurse while wearing a baby in a carrier. Emmett slept some and also enjoyed looking at the lights.

Sunday we hung out with Tio Josue and Rachel and reminisced about our days in Honduras and heard her stories from her Peace Corps days in Ukraine. They gave Clarita some footy pajamas and she is obsessed with them. She had not worn footy pajamas in at least a year and thinks they are the best things in the world! She enjoyed snuggling with Rachel and reading. Baby Emmett got lots of snuggles from both of them and loved it! We were so glad to be able to see them and look forward to their wedding in May!
