Both kids had Christmas programs for school this year and Clara also had her Christmas piano recital. Clara's Christmas program was on the stage in the cafeteria and she had been diligently practicing all 5 million songs. She did a great job, sang all the songs, and did all the motions. After the program Emmett went with Abuelos and Dada and I went to Clarita's class to help her decorate a gingerbread house. It was a super fun day!
Emmett's preschool program was in the church and he was very excited about it. Unfortunately Bailey's school curse struck again and she was sick the day of the program (she was also sick her first VIP day, picture day, and the Thanksgiving party hence the curse). Emmett, of course, wanted to be fancy! He was so cute, and kind of sang some of the songs. After two years watching Clara's preschool programs he was excited to be in his own! He was also excited for us to come back to his classroom and see the present he made us.

Clara was super nervous about introducing herself before playing the piano. She had no problem doing it six months ago, but nearly cried every time she practiced. She was the tiniest kid, and the youngest, but she managed to conquer her fear and play her two pieces very well. She also sang a couple of songs and did a great job. This was her first time playing with both hands and she is making great progress. It seems to come naturally to her and she memorizes the pieces after playing them a couple of times. Ryland is in her class and Reed is in another class so it was fun to watch them as well!
