Life With Three Kids

Aba went to the East Coast to see the fall colors with her sisters for two weeks and Grandma Donna had surgery, so that meant that we got to hang out with Bailey! I had watched all three kids a few times, but only for a couple of hours in the morning and wasn't sure how entire days with them would go. Turns out it wasn't so bad. We ended up having a lot of fun, although I was definitely exhausted by the end of the day! Clara and Bailey are easy to watch together, and Clara and Emmett are easy, but Emmett and Bailey both need a lot of help to do anything which makes things more difficult. There were definitely times when one or more child was screaming (I don't think there was ever a time when all three were crying thank goodness) and I just had to leave one crying while I tended to another. I also gave Bailey only food that she could feed herself at first, and milk in sippy cups instead of bottles, since trying to get myself and two to three children fed at the same time was impossible! Luckily she's easy going!

Sometimes she was a great helper!

Bathtub fun!

Bailey became a Texas fan!

Sarah and Kierito came to keep us company the first day and we played outside while the housekeepers were here. Clarita had tons of fun playing with Kierito, Bailey had fun playing outside, and Emmett was content to look around and sleep. It was nice to have another set of hands to help out too!

Everything was made easier by the fact that all three kids are pretty good, and Bailey and Emmett are angels! However, Clara has gone downhill in the sharing department lately and only wanted Bailey to play with certain things. By the last day I was super tired of hearing Clarita whine about Bay Leaf touching her toys. We had numerous talks about how nice it is to share and how much she likes it when Bay Leaf shares with her. Hopefully she'll get over this phase soon! Clara's saving grace is her three to four hour naps and every day all three kids were at sleep for at least an hour at the same time. That gave me some time to clean up the hurricane damage left behind and have some time to myself to relax!

This is what happens when I leave her alone!

They love Signing Time

Such a big girl!

"Bailey has a yot of babies in her estomago!"

All in all we had lots of fun and were glad to get to spend more time with sweet Bay Leaf. She is really great and both Clarita and Emmett love her and spending time with her! I will definitely not be having three kids anytime soon (or ever), but it's fun to watch Bailey and I'm glad that the kids are all so close in age!

Hook 'em!
