Emmett is definitely not a baby anymore (although Clara insists that he is). He is generally a happy little guy, but definitely has a stubborn streak! He knows what he wants and he throws tantrums if he doesn't get it. Luckily he is still easily distracted and redirected and his tantrums are very short lived. He's still my little snuggler and loves to give kisses and hugs. He wraps his little arms around my neck and it is the best! I generally snuggle with him before bed and then ask him if he is ready to get into his crib and he says "Uhuh" and goes right to sleep. One night I put him in his crib without snuggling and he sat up and started pointing to his chair and saying "Mama." I realized that he wanted to snuggle and after a couple of minutes he was ready for bed. I'm soaking up every minute!
Buggle loves clips, shoes, and dressing up. He insists on putting as many clips as will fit in his hair and then gets upset that he can't have more. He constantly touches them to make sure they are still there and inevitably pulls them out and then gets sad. He just found Clara's clips with animals on them and now requests specific animals! He also likes to put on princess dresses, wings, capes, and his Carebear costume. Clara is more than happy to dress him up! She isn't so happy when he wears her high heels, and tells him they are only for girls.

Emee loves to run, jump, and ride his bike. He is surprisingly coordinated for such a little guy and can throw, hit, and kick. He's Mr. Independent and wants to do everything by himself. He's constantly saying, "I do it" or "Emee" and pointing to what he wants to do/telling us that something is his. He even wants to buckle himself in the carseat now and gets upset if we try to do it. It takes him a little while, but he can do it. Emmett also wants to do everything Clara and Bailey do. This often elicits screams from Clara when he ruins something she is working on. If she stays calm and asks him to stop he generally will, but he does not respond well to screaming and her trying to take things from him. He can hold his own with the girls and fights back now. One day he grabbed Clara's hair and would not let go when she took something he wanted. We're working on being nice and not hitting and pulling hair.

Emmett loves Clara and often requests to see "Wehwah." One morning he woke up and instead of calling for Mama or Dada was calling for Clara! She will often go into his room to check on him when he wakes up and then either play with him or come tell me that he wants to get out of bed. Emee also loves Bailey and often requests to see her. He gets super excited when she comes over and the two of them are going to cause lots of trouble in the future!

He continues to love his stuffed animals, especially Conejo and Bearbears. He left Conejo at los Abuelos one day and was so sad at bedtime. It almost broke my heart to watch him searching his bed and calling for him. Luckily he still managed to go to sleep hugging his water bottle (his other favorite snuggler) and Conejo now does not leave the house! Emee also loves to read and insists on reading a million books anytime he is near them. He knows what books he wants and will search his bookshelf, pulling out books and pushing them back in if they are not the correct ones. If he has to stop reading before he is ready (aka before he has read at least 10 books) he gets very upset.

It really just depends on the day. Some days he eats everything and other days he will only eat a select few things. He won't really eat meat unless it's in the form of a chicken nugget or hotdog and veggies are hit or miss.

How Emmett Sleeps
Emmett goes to bed around 8:30 and sleeps until around 6:30/7:00. He takes a nap between 1:00 and 2:00 for 3 to 4 hours. He sleeps with his sleep sack, water, and a million animals. His favorite is Conejo followed closely by his Carebears. He generally sleeps on his stomach.
